BALDONI. Pearl V. Baldoni, 89, of 39 Elmwood Street, Old Saybrook, died Saturday, March 6, 1993 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Egidio Baldoni and the loving mother and mother-in-law of Jean and Fred Austin and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Varney. Mrs. Baldoni was born in in Jewett City May 21, 1903 the daughter of Mary and Peter Leyden. Moving to Old Saybrook more than 70 years ago, she retired as Vice President of Old Saybrook Garage Co, Inc. in 1964 and was a founding member of Lower Valley Club 60 and a Medical Benefits Consultant for the Lower Valley Estuary Council of Senior Clubs for many years. Besides her daughter she leaves two sisters, Mae Chapman of Chester and Doris Sullivan of Old Saybrook.
