Olive was supposed to be buried at Casa Bonita, but later records show that she was cremated and her remains shipped to her sister Edith Nordgren Croasdill. I have not yet found her actual resting place. (2013) - Carol

Olive was the daughter of John and Anna Lena Nordgren. Her obituary states: In Stockton, October 8, 1934, Olive Josephine Leighton, beloved wife of the late Verne Leighton, loving mother of Albert Verne Leighton and also a daughter [Violet], loving neice of Mr. Fred Anderson of Brentwood; a native of MN, aged 37 years. The funeral will be held Wed. Oct. 10 at 2 PM in the Little Chapel of the Valley. Inurnment in the Casa Bonita Crematory. Friends and acquaintances invited to attend." Olive died from "acute fulminating hemmorage neprites. Onset was 9/25/34. Information on her death certificate was given by Mrs. Anderson.
