Mary M. Tremmel, 100, Valley View Home, died Mon., Oct. 29, 2012 at the home. She was born in Altoona to Michael & Mary M. (Kammermeier) Leidel. She married Paul D. Tremmel on June 15, 1939 and he died July 22, 1974. Surviving are a brother, Earl W. (Margaret) Leidel of Reynoldsburg, OH; a sister, Marjorie M. Beigle of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings. Mary was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and Kittanning Trail Vol. Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and needlework. Friends will be received from 1:30 until the 3:30 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona. Interment, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
