Services for Carolyn Dee Ballard, 45, 80 Ballard Ranch Road, are pending at West Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ballard died Thursday at Lakeview Christian Home Northgate.
Born Oct. 9, 1945, in Artesia, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Artesia High School, she married John A. Ballard in Lakewood on Jan. 1, 1964, at the Lakewood Baptist Church.
They made their home on the ranch near Carlsbad.
Mrs. Ballard was a member of the Otis Baptist Church and was active working with the 4-H Club, designated an outstanding 4-H leader for one year.
In addition to the widower, John A. Ballard, Carlsbad, survivors include one daughter, Sandy Ballard, Carlsbad; four brothers, Joe Allen Lee of Texas, J.D. Lee and Robert Lee, both of Georgia, and Matt Lee, Artesia; and one sister, Bessie Scott, Lubbock, Texas.
BALLARD
Services for Carolyn Dee Ballard, 45, 80 Ballard Ranch Road, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the West Funeral Home Chapel. Baptist minister, Tommy Lawson will officiate.
Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard died Thursday at Lakeview Christian Home, Northgate unit.
Pallbearers will be Sandy Ballard, Deanene Peterson, Dawn Edison, Kelly Christesson, David Magby and Robert Betencourt.
