Mary Jane Aston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lee, was born at Stockton, Pa., Dec. 25, 1859. When but a small girl she moved with her parents to Colchester, Ill., where she spent most of her early life, attending school there. On October 11, 1877, she was united in marriage to James W. Aston at Colchester, Ill., and this union was blessed with six children: Samuel, who passed away April 13, 1911; Ernest, of Mystic; Homer, who died March 17, 1925; Forest Young, of Ottumwa; Stella Ward, of Mystic, and Dale, of Tulsa, Okla.
Mrs. Aston and her husband moved to Mystic about 53 years ago and since that time have resided here almost continuously, endearing themselves to their many friends and neighbors and ranking as one of Mystic's most beloved and respected families. She was a member of the Christian church here.
Besides the two children previously mentioned and her parents, she was preceded in death also by two sisters: Mrs. Stella Cotton, of Hannibal, Mo., and Mrs. John Lloyd of Hazelton, Pa.; also by two brothers: John D. Trew of Hull, Ill., and Thomas Trew of California.
Left to mourn her passing, besides her children and husband are: one brother, Lincoln Lee of Mystic; four grandchildren; Charlotte Aston of Chicago, Ill.; Eddie Aston of New London, Iowa; ... (the rest is covered by another article)
