The Anthon Herald, 1 May 1974, page 1: Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Forch, 73, of Anthon were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27 in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Anthon. Mrs. Forch passed away Thursday, April 25, in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Rev. J.G. Skahill officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Home. Auxiliary services were conducted by McNiff Unit 387 at 7:30 Friday evening. The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. by the parish and at 8:30 p.m. by Catholic Daughters of America. Margaret Forch, daughter of Edward and Josephine Boyle Leahy, was born February 16, 1901, at Danbury. On April 3, 1923, she married Albert Forch at Danbury. She and her husband had farmed on the same farm east of Anthon for 43 years. Mrs. Forch was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Anthon. Survivors include her husband; three sons, John of Moville; Vincent and James, both of Sioux City; four daughters, Mrs. Archie (Mary Jo) Dicks of Menomonie, Wisconsin; Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Roark and Mrs. James (Cecelia) Karhoff, both of Anthon; and Mrs. James (Katherine) Fredricks of Shenandoah, Iowa; one brother, Martin Leahy of Danbury; three sisters, Mrs. Mary McGuire of Sioux City, Mrs. John (Edna) Brenner of Danbury and Miss Ellen Leahy of Tucson, Arizona, 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and one sister.
