Tanda D. Kramm, age 53, of Topeka, Kansas and former longtime resident of Manhattan, Kansas, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at her residence in Topeka following an extended illness.
She was born on October 23, 1956, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ernest P. and Mamie O. (Pendergraft) Laughlin. Tanda was raised in Blackwell and was a 1974 graduate of Blackwell High School.
On November 29, 1974, in Blackwell, she was united in marriage to Raymond Eugene Kramm.
They made their home in Manhattan from 1984 until moving to Topeka, Kansas in 2009.
Tanda was a homemaker. While living in Manhattan she had worked as a paralegal, as a computer teacher in the computer lab at Theodore Roosevelt elementary school and as a technical support specialist for Homecare and Hospice.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cross stitching and crocheting, playing Rock Band with others and collecting Santa Claus'. She also enjoyed role playing, especially of the medieval period, attending renaissance activities including the Renaissance Festival. Tanda was also a talented writer and had completed one book and was working on another. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, of the home. Also surviving are three children: Jamie N. Lane and her husband Steven of Warner, Oklahoma, Nathaniel R. Kramm and his wife Bobbie of Manhattan, Kansas and Cassiopeia L. Capps and her husband James A., Jr. also of Manhattan and eight grandchildren: Cody A. Lane, Brianna M.N. Lane, Connor R. Kramm, Caylin D. Kramm, Ceina J. Kramm, Tyler A. Capps, Sean O. Capps and Vivvan R. Capps. She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters and by her in-laws: Raymond O. Kramm and Cora Mae Wilson, both of Houston, Missouri.
Tanda was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jol Klein officiating. Interment will follow in the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Riley.
