Obituary:
Amy M. Ballard, 82, of Troy RD 3, died Friday, March 8, 1991 at the Green Home, Wellsboro. Born January 12, 1909 in Elmira, she was the daughter of Fred and Luella Rhone Lathrop. Mrs. Ballard was a member of the East Troy United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women's Society. She was also a member of the Bradford County Republican Women. She was a former nurse, having worked at the Troy Community Hospital for 17 years. Mrs. Ballard is survived by her husband of 61 years, Oscar P. Ballard; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Charles Roberts of St. Charles, IL; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son, Blaine Ballard, in 1989. Funeral services were held at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on March 11 with the Rev. George Mauk officiating and burial to be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy. Memorials may be made to the East Troy United Methodist Church (Troy Gazette Register, Thursday, March 14, 1991).
