Edith Theresia Larson, 88, Brainerd, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

She was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Swan and Anna (Larson) Carlson. She completed teacher's college and taught in a country school for five years. She married Vernon R. Larson on Oct. 10, 1936, in Milaca. She lived there until 1943, when she moved to Brainerd. She was a member of the Community Covenant Church in Brainerd. She had been a resident of the Bethany House.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Larson, New Hope, and Jeanne Spangler, Champlin; two sons, Dennis Larson, Benicia, Calif., and Larry Larson, Brainerd; a brother, Harry Carlson, Grand Rapids; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Covenant Church in Brainerd, with the Rev. Jon Gehrls officiating. Burial will be at Bock Cemetery in Milaca.

Friends may call an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
