Margaret Ann (Lardner) Corbett, 78, of Mallard Drive, Avon, wife of the late William Thomas Corbett, died on Monday (December 29, 2008) at Hartford Hospital.
She was born January 17, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late James and Marie (Branagan) Lardner and had lived in Simsbury for 27 years prior to moving to Avon. Margaret was a communicant of both St. Mary's Church, Simsbury and the Church of St. Ann, Avon, was an former active member of the Hopmeadow Country Club, past President and member of the Simsbury Women's Club and an avid bridge player in both Simsbury and Avon.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Farley Bokron and Nicholas R. Bokron of Simsbury and their daughter Katherine Corbett Farley; her son and daughter-in-law, William Thomas Corbett, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Mendham, NJ and their children, Ryan Thomas Corbett and Haley Elizabeth Corbett.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury on Friday, January 2 from 4-6 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury.
Burial will be in Simsbury Cemetery.
