Robert B. Lanier, age 91, of Lake Village, died Saturday October 29, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born August 16, 1925 in Crossett, Arkansas, the son of the late Jesse E. Lanier and Geneva Wilson Lanier. He was a paper maker for International Paper Company in Pine Bluff for 32 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Robinson Lanier, his parents, Jesse and Geneva Wilson Lanier, a brother, Kenneth Lanier, and a sister, Leatrice Rester.

Survivors are his 2 daughters, Bobbie Sue Johnson and husband Richard, of Lake Village and Mari L. Weaver and husband, James of Lake Village; a sister, Joyce L. Files of Monroe, LA; a half-brother, J. Bernard Lanier of Warren; 4 grandchildren, J. J. Weaver, Leslie Weaver, Angie Johnson McAfee and Ginger Johnson and one great-grandson, Riley McAfee.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday November 1, 2016 at Bishop-King Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00am Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Lake Village Baptist Church with Brother Tim Channault officiating. Burial will follow at Causey Cemetery near Bastrop, Louisiana. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village of Lake Village, Arkansas.
