ETHA ODESSA LANGWORTHY
ETHA O. LANGWORTHY
Miss Etha O. Langworthy died at the Homeopathic Hospital, Ann Arbor, last Tuesday evening, Jan. 17th, aged 20 years, 5 months and 27 days.
Miss Langworthy had lived all her life in Sheridan and hence her death comes as a personal bereavement to a wide circle or friends.
Possessed of a good fund of ambition and energy, she had in no small degree by per own energy, worked her way through the Clare High School, graduating with the class of 1909.
She then engaged in teaching and continued till a few weeks ago, though evidently it must have required heroic determination on her part to do this recently.
On Saturday last she went to Ann Arbor and underwent an operation; and, although at first everything seemed favorable, a change for the worse soon came and she died Tuesday evening.
It is a singular coincidence that the father died at the same place as the result of an operation two or three years ago.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the Colonville church and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and sympathizing! friends. The mother and six brothers and sisters still remain in the family circle. The oldest of the children is taken by the death of this loved one, but her life remains as we inspiration for the others.
