Mrs. Inskeep was born November 13, 1921 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Luther and Eva May Dobbs Lander. She married Lyle D. Inskeep on March 14, 1945 in Sloan, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1992.
She graduated from Iowa State University and was an elementary school teacher in the Keokuk Community School District from 1961 to 1985. She was a member of First Christian Church where she had been an elder, a Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir. She was also a member of Elmira Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; King's Daughters; Chapter LZ, P.E.O.; Keokuk Area Hospital Auxiliary; and was a lifetime member of American Association of University Women.
She is survived by four children, Kerry Krebill of Clancy, Montana, Janet Winkelman and her husband, John, of Alexandria, Missouri, Richard Inskeep and his wife, Georgia, of Troy North Carolina and John Inskeep and his wife, Deb, of Brownsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Lola Allen of Salix, Iowa; sister-in-law, Vivian Landers of Sun City, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers.
Memorial services were Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at First Christian Church in Keokuk with Rev. William S. Mitchell officiating. Inurnment followed at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Christian Church or Sloan Cemetery Fund of Sloan, Iowa.
