Julius J. Land, 84, Neosho, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 1999, at Freeman Neosho Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Land was born August 18, 1915, in Neosho and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a farmer and member of First Christian Church, Neosho, and a member of Masonic Lodge, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an Air Force Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific area.
He married Arlene Roberts September 5, 1942, at Tulsa. She survives.
Additional survivors are a son, Jim Land, Neosho, a daughter, Sara Hoppener, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, three sisters, Grace Land, Neosho, Helen Trotter, Neosho, and Edith Lawellin, Joplin, and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 100 a.m. Saturday at IOOF Cemetery, Neosho, with Rev. Clement Graham officiating.
Service under the direction of Woodard-Freund-Thompson Funeral Home, Neosho.
