Funeral services for Mr. Herman Lanclos, 77, will be held at 10 A.M. Friday in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Mr. Lanclos, a resident of Opelousas, died at 12:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2002, in Opelousas General Hospital. He was a retired dispatcher with Entex for 30 years. Mr.Lanclos ws an usher at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was also a lay minister for Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Deranger Lanclos of Opelousas; two sons, Calvin Ray Lanclos of Covington and Harold John Lanclos and his wife Judith of San Bernardino, Calif.; a brother, Robert Lee Lanclos of Baton Rouge; a sister, Sybil L Pelafigue of Opelousas; two grandchildren, Kyle Lanclos and Donna Michelle Lanclos; and a great-grandchild, Lia Willow Ogburn.

Mr. Lanclos was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bernadette Meyers Lanclos; three brothers, Nathan, Verley and Lois Lanclos; and a great-grandchild Lily Rowan Ogburn.

Visiting hours will be observed from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday and from 8 A.M. Friday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 P.M.

Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on the Old Sunset Hwy. in Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.
