Catherine Alpaugh's funeral was held at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alvah B. Alpaugh, at Cokesbury, with whom she had lived the last few months, and at whose home she had died. She was 94 years of age.
Born near Cokesbury, a daughter of the late William and Eleanor Lance, she lived there her entire life, with the exception of a recent few years she lived in High Bridge.
She was a long-time member of the Ladies Aid Society connected with her church.
She was twice married. Her first husband was Stephen R. Alpaugh, who died several years ago. Her second husband, Frederick Lindabury, died in October 1929.
She was the last of a family of 8 children. Survived by two sons. Alvah Alpaugh of Cokesbury, Silas F. Alpaugh also of Cokesbury. Survived also by a granddaughter, Mrs. Leedsy Davis of North Plainfield, one grandson, Garner Alpaugh, of Clinton, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on April 3, 1930.
