JOSHUA - Verue L. Lancaster, 88, a homemaker, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at home.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home.
Verue L. Lancaster was born March 23, 1910, in San Saba County.
Verue L. Lancaster had been a Springtown resident since 1968 and was a member of the Church of Christ of Springtown. She moved to Joshua in 1995.
Mrs. Lancaster was preceded in death by her son, Derwin Lancaster, in 1994 and husband, Oscar A. Lancaster, in 1977.
Survivors: Sons, Bruce Lancaster of Joshua, Ernie Lancaster of Burleson and Raymond Lancaster of Amarillo; 33 grandchildren; brother, Namon Mitchell of Ozona; and sisters, Addie Long of Brownwood and Irene Cummings of Mercury.
