Lahoma L. Botone, 88, of Dougherty was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Dougherty to Jess and Jeanette (Hays) Lambert and died Oct. 9, 2011, in Dougherty. Graveside services were Oct. 11, 2011, at Dougherty Cemetery.
She graduated from Dougherty High School. She taught school at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko and Albuquerque Indian School. She finished her teaching career in Dougherty where she taught and was principal.
Survivors include: two children, Lawanda Tonge of Houston, Texas, and Thomas Botone of Dougherty; a brother, Tommy Lambert of Davis; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
