Dorothy A. Burnett, age 88 of Nashua, died Friday morning, February 10, 2006, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.
Dorothy A. Burnett was born February 20, 1917, in Floyd, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Theda (Underwood) Lambert. She attended school in Floyd.She was united in marriage to Roger M. Burnett on March 18, 1937, at her parent's home in Floyd. To this union four children were born. Roger passed away October 20, 1975.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Dennis (Diane) Burnett of Nashua; three daughters, Janice (Jim) Haus of Nashua, Sylvia (Gordon) Silber of Wabasha, MN and Wilda (Charles) Albrecht of Readlyn; One brother, Warren (Ruth) Lambert of Reseda, CA; one brother-in-law, Walter Bratten of Edwardville, IL; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Lambert of Waterloo; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, 3 step-great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her parents; two brothers, Albert and Robert Lambert; one sister, Ruby Bratten, a daughter-in-law, Linda Burnett and a grandson, Andy Silber.
