Aime LaCerte was the younger of two daughters born in Colfax, Washington to Rhea (Baker) and Nestor Aime LaCerte (from Quebec, Canada). She lived in Spokane, Washington 1929-1931, and in Moscow, Idaho 1931-1939.

She was married to Ray Carlisle Laird in Clarkston, Washington on Aug 14 1935; they lived in Clarkston until 1940, and Hermiston, Oregon 1941-1948, and then permanently relocated to Lewiston, Idaho.

Aime was a secretary at McGhee Elementary School and then Warner School from 1957 to 1968. She was a member of the Congregational Presbyterian Federated Church and had attended the University of Idaho for two years.

Her only daughter, Rhea Jo Laird, died at the age of 16 in 1960. She had one son, David Ray Laird, and three grandchildren.

Died at age 59 years, 9 months, 7 days.

Aime was a granddaughter of America Holton (Thompson) & Daniel Ayres Baker of Colfax, Washington; she was a gr-granddaughter of Mary Elizabeth (Ford) & Capt. Joseph Moran Thompson of Wabash, Indiana; and a gr-gr-granddaughter of Dr. James & America Ford of Wabash, Indiana.
