Mrs. Ahrent was a homemaker. She was a lifelong caregiver, loved her bible education work and gardening. She attended college in California to be a business lawyer. She was a Jehovah's Witness for 55 years.
On Feb. 26, 1955, she was united in marriage to Vernon Otto Ahrent. He preceded her in death May 7, 2011.
Survivors are three sons Karl (Susan) Ahrent of Jonesboro, Ernest Ahrent of Springfield, MO, and Warren (Vicky) Ahrent of Corning; one daughter Amelia (Kevin) Miiller of Corning; seven grand-children; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by husband; parents Martin Van Lafferty and Elsa Helene (Hartwig) Lafferty; identical twin sister Anita Headley; and brother Carl Lafferty.
Arrangments were by: Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Burial was in Williams Cemetery in Corning.
