LACHNIT - Mrs. Eileen Lachnit, 80, died Sunday at home, 2554 45th Avenue, after an illness of several months.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jerome Spenner, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Rosary service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Chapel where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Born Nov. 18, 1892 at Platte Center, she was the daughter of David H. and Ellen Carrig Perkinson. She attended St. Joseph School, Platte Center, and married Leo A. Lachnit, Nov. 27, 1917 at St. Joseph Church there. Except for 15 years at Tujunga, Calif., she lived in this area. In Columbus, she was a member of St. Isidore Church and Christian Mothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ivan M.; grandson, Terry D. Lachnit; brothers, Don J. and Edward D. Carrig. Surviving are one son, Terry of Grand Island; two sisters, Molly Carrig and Billie Westring of Columbus; three grandchildren, Craig Lachnit of San Diego, Mrs. Ray Reichert of Los Angeles and Mike Lachnit of Grand Island.
