DR. H. A. LA FORCE DIES IN HOSPITAL
Heart Attack Fatal to Joplin Physician,
Who Formerly Practiced at Carthage
Dr. Herman A. La Force, practicing physician in Jasper County since the first world war, with offices in Joplin the last five years, died at 10 o'clock last night at Freeman Hospital after suffering a heart attack at his office in the Frisco Building at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
He was removed to the hospital after suffering the attack.
Dr. La Force was a member of the Jasper County Medical Society and practiced in Carthage several years before coming to Joplin. He was a surgeon in the medical detachment during the first world war.
He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Hilda Talley of Carthage and a son, Dr. Richard La Force of Kansas City.
