Alice Catherine Kustra, 92, of Allegheny Township, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at home. She was born April 15, 1914, in Allegheny Township, a daughter of the late William Joseph and Daisy Evelyn Finney, and lived in Allegheny Township and the Kiski area all of her life. She taught school at St. James School, Apollo, from 1960 until 1965, and at St. Joseph School, New Kensington, from 1965 until 1973. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, East Vandergrift Senior Citizens, Allegheny Township Senior Citizens and Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society. Her hobbies included needlework, knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening and Genealogical research. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson L. Whitlinger; second husband, Joseph Kustra; four brothers, John E. Finnin, George W. Finnin, James J. Finnin and Clarence Finnin; a sister, Ruth E. Finnin; a daughter-in-law, Wenda L. Whitlinger; and a great-granddaughter at birth. She is survived by sons, Richard L. (Wenda L.) Whitlinger, of Allegheny Township, Wesley A. Whitlinger, of East Vandergrift; a daughter, Carole Goodfellow, of Burlington, Wis.; stepsons, Joseph Kustra, of Coraopolis, and John F. Kustra, of Lower Burrell; stepdaughters, Wilma Kustra, of Fairview, Tenn., Marleen (Kenneth) Minyon, of New Kensington, and Sophie Drenner, of Natrona Heights; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Leechburg.
