Connie passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the age 87 years. Left to mourn her loss are her beloved husband Frank; her son Frank Jr. and his wife Marlene; her brother Fr. M.J. Santopinto, CSSR; her nieces: Jackie and Gabrielle, who helped during her illness, Gisele and Marianne; her sisters-in-law Rosemary and Clara Santopinto, Ann (Eugene) Valerio, Helen Davey, Madeline Edwards and Maria Pansi, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their children.
Connie was born in Calgary and began her career at CP Telegraph downtown as part of the war effort. After her marriage to Frank, she became a secretary at St. Alphonsus School in Renfrew until her retirement. She was a dedicated member of Canadian Martyrs Church, Ladies of the Knights of Columbus and was active in the CWL for many years. She was a thoughtful, generous person and a lifelong friend to so many. Connie enjoyed cooking, baking, her canary, dogs and cat, crafts and china painting and playing cards, especially bridge games with her friends. Connie was predeceased by her dear sister Jean, her brothers Tony and Frank and her brothers-in-law Jack and Bob.
Funeral Mass celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Friday, January 4, 2008.
