Joseph Lee Kuebler
February 23, 1947 - November 7, 2010

Joseph Lee Kuebler was born February 23, 1947 in Buffalo, New York to Thomas C. and Noreen (Barr) Kuebler. Joe died peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 7, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Joe's Life to be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Boise State University's Stueckle Sky Center.

Joe was born and raised in Buffalo, NY but the family moved at the end of his sophomore year to Albany, NY., much to his chagrin. He graduated from Vincentian Institute High School in 1965. He attended Siena College, joined the R.O.T.C. and graduated with a degree in Economics in 1969.

After college he became a non-commissioned officer for the United States Army. Joe served in the Artillery while stationed in Tacoma, WA., during the Vietnam War.

Joe went to work for Savin Construction after the Army and in 1976 he joined the Associated General Contractors as Executive Vice President. In 1983 he went to work for Consolidated Concrete Company as the General Manager and then in the 90's purchased the company with his partner Bonnie Short.

Joe and Bonnie were co-workers and partners in business, and in life for the past 27 years. They co-owned Consolidated Concrete Company until 2006 when they sold the company and began enjoying their retirement.

Joe especially enjoyed golfing with friends in Arizona and Boise, not to mention their annual "Old Dogs Desert Dual Group." Although not an avid angler, Joe looked forward every year to his Alaska fishing trip with his "real" fisherman buddies. Aside from his love for his family, Joe was very passionate about Boise State Athletics and was a member of the Coaches Club for football and basketball. Along with these clubs, Joe was a Lifetime Member of the Taco Bell Arena, BCA Life Member, BAA Board of Director, AGC Member, past President of ICAPA, and a member of both the Hillcrest and Plantation Country Clubs.

Joe is survived by his wife and "the love of his life", Bonnie Short; his daughter, Jill E. (Edgar) Schuster of Clifton Park, NY., and son, Michael J. (Kathleen) Kuebler of Pembroke Pines, FL. and their Mother, Joan P. Kuebler of Albany, NY., his daughter, Jentry (Josh) Hull of Boise, ID., and her Mother, Vicki Kuebler, Step-daughter, Gail (Craig) Lysne of Boise, ID., Grandchildren: Derek and Kevin Schuster; Brady and Quinn Kuebler; Taylor Hull; Drew, Katie, Allison and Spencer Lysne; Joe's sister, Mary Lynn (Gerald) Smith of Ballston Spa, NY., and his brothers; Thomas (Susan) Kuebler of Saratoga Springs, NY., and Richard (Sandra) Kuebler or Niskayuna, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Noreen A. (Barr) Kuebler.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the B.S.U. Joe and Bonnie Kuebler Athletic Endowment Scholarship, c/o Bronco Athletic Association, 1910 University Drive, Boise, Id., 83705.
