OXFORD — Laura Ann Creed, 62, of Little Punkup Road, entered into rest with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at her home. She was the devoted wife of Thomas Creed.
She was born in Hartford June 5, 1945, daughter of Elizabeth Andrews Kopas and the late Stephen Kopas, and was raised in the Stratford/ Bridgeport area before moving to Ansonia and then Oxford in 1982.
Laura had worked as a dietary aid at East Hill Woods in Southbury for the past five years. She had also worked as a home health aid for many years. She was a loving mother who was very proud of her boys' achievements.
She is the beloved mother of Patrick Creed and his fiancée, Andrea Hurst, of Somerville, Mass., and Brendan Creed of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a loving sister to Michael, David, Charlie and Sue Kopas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Her funeral will leave the funeral home at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery.
