Mr. Koon, a retired meat cutter at Best Supermarket, Onarga, was born Oct. 7, 1914, in Onarga, a son of Will T. and Mae Walker Koon.

They were married Aug. 16, 1939, in Onarga.

Their survivors include a daughter, Janet M. Cade, Melvin; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Koon also is survived by a brother, Roger Kohlman, Manteno.

A grandchild preceded the Koons in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Koon were members of Onarga Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to their church or to the Onarga Fire Department.
