Kohr and his wife, the former Lizzie Strouphar, operated the Swatara Gap luncheonette and service station.
He was a son of the late Morris and Sarah (Garman) Kohr. He held membership in the Chapel at Green Point.
Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters and one son, Helen, wife of Bernard Hoffa, Fredericksburg; Violet, wife of Walter Krammes, of Lebanon Route 20; Florence, wife of Herbert Shuey, Jonestown Route Two; Verna, wife of Harold Miller, Grantville Route One, and Edward Kohr, Lebanon Route 20.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Neidig, of Jonestown, and Miss Ada Kohr, Mount Aetna; and two brothers, Elmer of Jonestown Route Two, and John of Fredericksburg Route One. [Lebanon Daily News, Wednesday March 13, 1957]
