WAUNAKEE/LODI - Bernice A. "Bernie" Brown, age 83, of Waunakee, and formerly of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2006, at her home. She was born on April 26, 1923, at Sheboygan Falls, the daughter of William and Mathilda (Sabel) Kohlmann.
On Sept. 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Brown and he preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1996. "Bernie" was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lodi, and enjoyed volunteering her time for several organizations.
She is survived by three children, Sandra (Rick) Zill, Kenneth "Bill" (Sally) Brown, and Roberta (Ricardo) Gonzalez; five granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie French and Ginny Pitschler; a brother, Raymond (Renetta) Kohlmann; and many other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2006, at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Lodi, with the Rev. Michael C. Richel officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
