Amanda B. Kohler, 100, of Macungie, formerly of Northampton, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at The Village at Willow Lane in Macungie. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Kohler who died in 1987. Born in Allen Twsp.- Northampton Co. She was the daughter of the late Elvin and Carrie (Woodring) Fenicle.
Amanda was a Cashier/Bookkeeper for the former National Finance of Northampton for 11 years before retiring in 1968. Prior to she worked in the same capacity for the former Falks Garage, Catasauqua, PA. for 13 years. She was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northampton, PA. She served 50 years on the choir, was a former Council Women, and Sunday School Financial Secretary. She was the weekly acolyte scheduler, and a member of the W.E.L.C.A. at church. She was also active in her community as a member of the Northampton A.A.R.P., Northampton Historical Society, and the Northampton Senior Ladies.
Survivors: She is survived by her Daughter, Barbara Morgan, Fenstermaker wife of Maynard Fenstermaker of Northampton; two grandchildren, Kyle Morgan and wife Melissa, Palm, Carrie B. wife of David Heinze, Wescoesville. Five great-grandchildren: Derek, Lindsey, Kimberly, Daria, Damian; two nieces. She was predeceased by her Sister, Helen Kohler.
Services: Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19th & Main Sts. Northampton, PA. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. 18067. Also Wed. June 20, 2012 from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the services in the church. Rev. William M. Horn will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery - Allen Twsp., PA.
