Obituary, The State (Columbia, SC) January 23, 2003: Iris Galloway, Camden - Services for Iris Knotts Galloway, 63, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2003 at Antioch Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Kenneth Bouldin and Von Cockrell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight, January 23, 2003 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 1975 Antioch Road, Camden, SC 29020 or to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Galloway, widow of Winford Galloway, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Mamie Smith Knotts. She was formerly employed with New South and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jack Truesdale of Lugoff; sons and daughters-in-law,
Stanley and Donna Galloway of Camden, Mark and Lisa Galloway of Lugoff; five grandchildren; sisters, Callie Shearin of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mary Knotts of Seattle; brother, James Knotts of White Oak, N.C. She was predeceased by a son, Winford Galloway Jr.
