"MRS. MARIE AMBLER DIES"
"Mrs. Marie Rosalie Knost Ambler, wife of Philip St. George Ambler, Pass Christian, died at Mercy Hospital, New Orleans, Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Daughter of the late J. H. and Rosa M. Knost, Mrs. Ambler was a native and life-long resident of Pass Christian. Mrs. Ambler was head librarian at the Pass Christian Library for many years, and also was a former member of the Pass Christian faculty. She was long active in social and civic circles. Survivors beside her husband are one son, Pvt, Philip S. Ambler 4th, a daughter, Rosalie K. Ambler; four sisters, Edna M, Jeanne E., Claire A., and Marjorie A. Knost; and five brothers, John Henry, Charles P., William A., Marion F., and Bernard L. Knost. Funeral services will be held from the residence, 225 East Beach, at 10:30 a.m. with a requiem mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church."
