Eugene Klubertanz, age 79, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center. He was born on Nov. 10, 1925 in Columbus, the son of Leonard and Mary (Miller) Klubertanz. He married Geraldine Reak on Sep. 3, 1949 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Lost Lake. He farmed for many years in the Township of York. Over the years he was employed at Madison Kipp, Dane County Highway Dept. and Ohmeda, retiring from there in 1989. He was also a greeter at Walmart after his retirement. He is survived by three daughters, Kristine (Orvill) Kolberg of North Lake, Rita (Daryl) Holdredge of Green Bay and Karen Klubertanz of Bethlehem, PA; a son, Michael (Paula) Klubertanz of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Olson, Ann (Jed) Felker and Karen Kolberg, Andrew (Cathy) Klubertanz, Anthony (Andrea) Klubertanz and Kelly (John) Church, Caitlin and Conor Holdredge; six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ben, Hannah, Logan, Austin and Aspen; two brothers, Urban of Sun Prairieand Cyril of Madison; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Herbert, Walter and Melvin; and a sister, Beatrice Renz. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, where a rosary will be held at 8 p.m. The family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Hearts Catholic Church.
