KERRVILLE - Mrs. Susie Klein, 93, of Kerrville, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, in a local care center. She was born July 11, 1907, in Meridian, Miss., to Charles S. and Maomie Morgan. She married Rueben H. Klein on Oct. 19, 1935, in Kerrville.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Klein was an assisting nurse for Dr. Knapp for many years. She loved square dancing, traveling, camping, fishing, arts and crafts and playing card games. Mrs. Klein was a charter member of Southwest Texas Camping Squares, Fritztown Squares, a charter member and lifetime member of the Hill Country Promenaders, and charter member and lifetime member of the Kerr-Li-Q's square dancing clubs. She was loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben H. Klein; father, Charles S. Morgan; mother, Maomie Knight Morgan; and brothers, Fulton and Carl Morgan.

Among her survivors is her very special friend, Sylvia Fritz. Family survivors are brothers-in-law, Harold Klein and wife, Sylvia, of Kerrville, and Norman Klein and wife, Ruth, of Georgetown, Texas; sisters-in-law, Vera Hartman of Anson, Texas, and Amelia Agold of Kerrville; nieces, Jeanette Jimerson of Butler, Ala., Jaureen Curry of Houston, Ann Simons of San Marcos, Virginia Cox of Anson, Barbara Mitchell of San Angelo, LuEllen Beard of Gregory-Portland, Texas, Della Massey of Marble Falls; nephews, Charles Morgan of Columbus, Miss., Larry Agold of Kerrville, Vernon Agold of Kerrville, Allen Koehne of Conroe, Texas, Jerry Koehne of Kerrville, Ronnie Hartman of San Angelo, Richard Grona of Kerrville; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 5, at Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Willfred Bigott officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 4.

Funeral services are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
