Brenda is the daughter of Burke "Billy" & Frances Virginia (Comer) Blakemore. She married Larry Eugene Kite on August 14, 1971 in Page County, Virginia.

Brenda Faye Kite, 54, of 4318 U. S. Highway 340 in Shenandoah, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Kite was born March 22, 1948, in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of Billy Burke Blakemore of Shenandoah and the late Francis Virginia Comer Blakemore.
She was a lifetime resident of Shenandoah and graduated from Page County High School in 1966. She attended James Madison University. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and retired after 25 years as chief financial officer and senior vice president of Pioneer Bank.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Larry Kite; a son, Mark Edward Kite of Stanley; a daughter, Stephanie Kite Day of Stanley; a sister, Donna Denise Gochenour of Shenandoah; and a grandson.
Dr. Dorothy M. Nimal will conduct a memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. A private burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
