The remains of Mrs Sarah Cotner, wife of Robert Cotner, who died last Saturday in Iroquois County, Ill., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Belle Cotner, arrived here last Monday and were taken to the Smith Camp Ground for burial. Mr and Mrs Cotner left Boone township, this county about two years ago to live with their daughter and were expecting to return to their home in this county this summer. The deceased was 62 years 10 months and 7 days old, having been born in this county July 24, 1851. She is survived by a husband and several children, Leslie Cotner, Mrs Nola Dotts, Mrs Ida Liebert, of this county, Artie Cotner, of Benton County, Eddie Cotner, of Iroquois, O & BF Cotner, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, all of whom were present at her funeral. The cause of her death was acute Bright's disease. Rev McVey pastor of the U.B. church at New Middletown, conducted the funeral.
