OBITUARY: WINSTON O. KIRKLAND
Mr. Winston O. Kirkland, 51, of 1262 East Houston Ave., died Friday afternoon at his home.
Mr. Kirkland was born in Trinity County but had resided in Crockett for the past several years. Mr. Kirkland was a land surveyor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge of Trinity, Elks Lodge of Crockett and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Kirkland of Crockett; two daughters, Miss Mary Kirkland and Miss Suzy Kirkland, both of Crockett; two brothers, E. H. Kirkland of Houston and R. W. Kirkland of Point Blank; two sisters, Mrs. C. G. Duff of Trinity and Mrs. Harry Saye of Trinity.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 20, at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. E. P. Ramsey and the Rev. J. R. Reedy of Trinity officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
