Ruth was born June 12, 1923 the daughter of Edwin and Louise Schmeling Kirchoff. On November 14, 1942 she married Lester Berndt at North Burnett Immanuel Lutheran Church. On May 11, 1988 she married Arnold Belling. Lester preceded her in death in 1974 and Arnold in 1998. Ruth was a former sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Aide at North Burnett Immanuel Lutheran Church.
