Evelyn Annabelle Adams
SALISBURY — Evelyn A. Adams, 82, of Salisbury died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at her home in Salisbury.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Bertram and Eva Cunnius Kirchner.
Evelyn served her community as a member of several organizations: Fraternal Order of Eagles 4503, Moose Lodge 654, American Legion Post 64, Redman's Lodge and was a past member of PWP. She was also very proud of her participation with the MAC Center.
She had a great love of many things, but none equaled her love for her family. She loved working with her family and spent 14 years with her son at Adams Co. & Son Inc., from which she then retired. She also enjoyed dancing, walking at the mall, her animals and listening to country music. Her favorite artist was George Jones. She is survived by her children, Robert, Judy, Dawn and Stacie Adams; and stepchildren, Bobby and Mike Adams. She is also survived by several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Adams in 1985; and sons, Bertram (2002) and George (1992) Adams.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home at 705 E. Main St. in Salisbury. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Thursday. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Following interment on Thursday, guests are invited to the Eagles Lodge 4503 at 107 Alexander Ave. in Salisbury.
