Belmond - Mrs. Sylvia Olphina Bohlen, 87 of Rockwell, died Friday (June 16, 1989) at the Rockwell Care Center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be today at the United Methodist Church in Alexander. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery. The Fulton Funeral Home in Belmond is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bohlen was born November 28, 1901, at Bode to Bennie and Jennsine (Peterson) Kinseth. She attended school at Alexander.

On November 2, 1917, she was married to Clarence Bohlen at Alexander. They farmed until 1951 at Alexander, then operated motels at Belmond and Cresco. They then moved to Clear Lake. For the past few years, she had been a resident of the Rockwell Care Center.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Harry (Bernice) Anderson, Hanlontown; Mrs. Lyle (Frances) Larson, Royal and Mrs. Lillian Campbell, Belmond; one sister, Mrs. Oranna Quigley, Belmond; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers and her husband in 1971.
