Dale D. Kinnick, 55 year old resident of Mountainburg, died Monday, Jan. 29 in a local hospital. A lifelong resident of Mountainburg, he was a switchman for the Frisco railroad and member of the Masonic lodge of Mountainburg. He was born Sept. 11, 1912 at Mountainburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kinnick.
Mr. Kinnick was the nephew of Mrs. Hattie Mae Peters who died Sunday, Jan. 28. His father, George Kinnick was the brother of Mrs. Peters, and his mother is the sister of Frank Peters, husband of Mrs. Hattie Mae Peters.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Veronica Kinnick; a son, Dale Donald Kinnick Jr. who is stationed in Thailand; three daughters, Mrs. Laureen LaRue of Mountainburg, Joli Kinnick and Diane Kinnick, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kinnick of Mountainburg; a brother, Neil Kinnick of New York City; a sister, Mrs. Eutona Sims of New York City; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Conley cemetery near Mountainburg with William G. Vincent, pastor of the Mountainburg Presbyterian church officiating. Funeral arrangements will be directed by Ocker Funeral Home.
Casket bearers will be Tommy Morgan, Jack Nolan, Jack Sims, Brady Marshall, Hugh East and Hugh Peters.
