Kay Kinne Beal, wife of Robert Sidney Beal and daughter of Erwin Newton Kinne and Mary Lewis Kinne, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

Mrs. Beal was a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She majored in Home Economics and served a Dietetic Internship at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital on Staten Island, NY. She was Director of Dietetics in several Georgia hospitals and lastly in that position at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Beal was elected President of the Tennessee Dietetic Association, the Southeastern Hospital Conference of Dietitians and the American Society of Hospital Food Service Administrators of the American Hospital Association.

Mrs. Beal was President of the Athens Area Republican Women and served two terms as Treasurer of the Clarke County Republican Committee.

An active member of local chapters of the DAR and Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, Mrs. Beal served the organizations as Regent and President respectively. She was also a member of the Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims and Magna Charta Society.
Mrs. Beal is survived by her husband of 40 years (married July 17, 1977).
