Mrs. Gerrye Smith of Ralls succumbed at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, following a heart attack at her home. The 41 year old Mrs. Smith was pronounced dead on arrival at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Crosbyton. Officiating were Garnie Atkisson, minister of the O´Donnel Church of Christ, and the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor of First Baptist Church here.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Lubbock, where she had previously resided.

Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

The former Gerrye Kinley was born July 17, 1935 in Crosbyton. She was reared here and attended Crosbyton schools. At the time of her death she was employed at Crosbyton Care Center.

Survivors include her husband, Royce Smith; one son, Terry Lynn Hunter of Lubbock; one daughter, Miss Debra Ellen Hunter of Lubbock; three stepchildren, Jimmy Smith of Arlington, Mary Cantrell of Irving, and Joy Ann Edgar of Waco; one brother, Alvin Kinley of Crosbyton; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Brown of Ft. Worth, Mrs. Myrtle Fuller of Arlington, Mrs. Illa B. Smith and Mrs. Faye Steen, both of Crosbyton; six step-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
