Barbara (Rupley) Kimmel 1809-1869
The 1870 Mortality Census shows that Barbara, a widow born in PA, died in December 1869 at age 58 of consumption--born about 1811.
Saint Johns Cemetery list gives the following information for the Samuel Kimmel family buried at Saint Johns Cemetery:
"Kimmel, Samuel, died 17 May 1838 in the 62nd year of his age
wife, Barbara, 18 March 1809, 14 Dec 1869,[only base beside Cyrus]
son, Cyrus, 2 Feb 1837, 24 April 1864, Sect. A#142
son, Theodore, died 17 Feb 1832, age 18-7-8, Sect. A#143"
Note: The cemetery list is a wonderful guide and tool but it should be noted that there are a number of inaccuracies which were found while adding photos for many individuals.
The cemetery listing for the Samuel Kimmel family does not appear to be completely accurate in regard to Samuel's death date (1838). Samuel and wife Barbara, along with children Theodore and Cyrus, were living in 1850. Samuel's death date might instead be 1858. The date of death on the cemetery list for son Theodore (Feb 17, 1832) is actually his date of birth. If Theodore died in 1832 at the age of 18, his mother would be only be 4 or 5 years older than him.

Died after Aug. 9, 1850 and before July 13, 1860---perhaps 1858.
