Our hearts are heavy today as our precious "Caddie" passed away in her sleep during the night. We only found out yesterday from the vet she had cancer. She had not felt well past few days and he could not do surgery on her as she had a bad infection and started her on meds. We had hoped for the better but got the worse. We are thankful for the wonderful time we had with her.

Caddie came into our lives on December 25, 2006. One of my nurse friends had called me the day before telling me that she had been to see her vet and that a man had brought in these 2 precious little dogs- a mother pug and her baby that had been dumped. So my friend Martha took them and told her vet she'd find a home for them and she called me. On Christmas day me and my son drove up to Oklahoma to get them. They was poor as they had been dumped and scouraging for food. I had cooked a roast that day. When me and my son got home with them my husband got some of the roast for Caddie and being a poor looking as she was she did not eat it. Instead she took it immediately to her baby which we named "Gracie" and she shredded that piece of roast and let her baby eat first. We'd never seen nothing like that before. We knew those 2 were so special. We took them both to the vet a few days later. The vet estimated Caddie to be about 3 years old at that time. But we gave her a new birthday of December 25, 2006 because that is when she entered our lives.

She was wonderful. She was the best mother to her baby. She was everything to us. We loved her so much. We miss her terribly today and always will. If there is such a place called Rainbow Bridge or some other place the good Lord sends our precious pets I just want her to know we love her and always will and hope someday there is such a place that we can all be together again...Caddie we love you. xoxoxo with all our love from your family.
