Survived by three daughters, Anna M Norton, Spokane; Ruth C Kern, Davenport; Martha E Green, Kittitas, WA; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two nieces, four nephews. Member of Christ Lutheran Church, Egypt, WA. Funeral Service, Monday, March 25, 1985 at 1:30 p.m. Zion Lutheran Church, Davenport, WA. Pastor Stanley Williamsen officiating. Interment Egypt Cemetery. {Per Reinbold Genealogy, Emma was born 10-29-1893, the first child of Christina Scheer and her husband Carl Gross, neither emigrated to America. "Emma did come to this country with her husband, Emil Kern. They lived for a time with William and Bertha Reinbold, Emma's step-uncle, before settling at their own place in the Egypt farming community." For clarification, Christina Scheer was the step-daughter of Mathias Reinbold, ancestor of the entire Reinbold clan whose children fulfilled his dream to settle near the Columbia and Spokane rivers. Emil and Emma's children were: Anna Marie (1923, w/o Edward Reed), Ruth (1928), and Martha (1933, w/o Jack Green).}

"Funeral services for Emma Christina Kern, 92, of Davenport took place on Monday, March 25, at the Zion Lutheran Church here in Davenport. She died on Wednesday, March 20 in Davenport. Pastor Stanley Williamsen officiated the 1:30 p.m. funeral services at the Davenport church. Steve Whiteside gave a violin solo of ‘How Great Thou Art' with Ruth Kuykendall accompanying. Soloist Darlene Reed also gave a solo on ‘In The Garden' with Steve Whiteside accompanying on the organ. Services and interment concluded at the Egypt Cemetery. Casket bearers included Dale Reed, Terry Reed, Robert Reed, Randy Green, L D Green and Nolan Shattuck. Mrs Kern was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church at Egypt. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Anne M Norton of Spokane, Ruth C Kern of Davenport and Martha E Green of Kittitas; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 nieces and 4 nephews."
