DAVENPORT -- Services for Jane E. Fielder, 82, of Davenport, will be 4 p.m. today at the Chapel of Davenport Memorial Park. No visitation will be held. Runge Mortuary & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fielder died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at Kahl Home.
She was born April 20, 1917, in Jefferson Township, Iowa, to Harold L. and Mary (Bostwick) Kennedy. She married Vohn Owen Fielder on Nov. 5, 1949, in Denver.
Jane retired in 1981 from Oscar Mayer after 30 years. She was a member of Blue Grass Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading and, especially, making cookies and candy for her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blue Grass Presbyterian Church or Scott County Humane Society.
Survivors include a stepsister, Mabelle Holben, Omaha, Neb.; a stepbrother, Howard Lightwine, Woodbine, Iowa; nieces, Georgene Good, Orlando, Fla., Judy Perry, Minnesota, Mary Arnold, Davenport, and Donna Pearson, Moline; a nephew, Paul Thompson Jr., Geneseo, Ill.; eight grandnieces and grandnephews; and a great-grandniece.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Monte; and a sister, Fern Thompson.
