Joseph Marshall Kempton, 83 years old, for many years a resident of Richmond, died Wednesday night at 8:30 o'clock at his home, 75 South Seventeenth street. Mr. Kempton was well known in the city, and in Center township, where he was a wealthy landowner. He was a member of the First Friends church of Richmond. He was born December 4, 1844, in Cincinnati. One brother. John L. Kempton, with whom the deceased made his home, is the only survivor. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
