Amanda Amelia "Dixie" Kemper Perkins was born on April 8, 1880 in Garrard County, Kentucky. She was the son of Jackson & Martha Kemper. She married Edward W Perkins on December 1, 1901. She died in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky on January 1, 1960. He was one of eight children: Ethelbert, Ophelia, Minnie, Virgil Manerva, William,and Charles.
